With a sparkling new storefront and precious stones galore, the Zadok (zadok.com) family invites you to their treasure trove to explore timeless pieces and new glittering finds. We caught up with Jonathan Zadok to learn more.

The new space is gorgeous. Tell us how it came to fruition. My father has always dreamed of owning our store property. We actually bought our new property in 2011 and spent several years determining what we wanted to do—what would work best for us and our clients. We went through several iterations before deciding on a mixed-use development, with our store as the anchor.

Obviously, the Zadok name is no stranger around here. What would you say contributes to your 40-plus years of success as a family-run business? Hard work, honesty, offering a fair price, being a part of the local and philanthropic communities, and, most importantly, taking care of the customer.

What is your favorite part about Houston as a community? How close-knit it is. I always say Houston is the smallest big town in the country. We love our city and our residents, and we support it. You can see how Houstonians step up whenever there are people in need such as during Hurricane Harvey and most recently during our big freeze.
What charities does your family feel passionate about supporting? We’re very proud of our ongoing partnership with Trees for Houston, an incredible organization that promotes, protects and plants trees in our city. With every purchase of an engagement diamond, we donate a tree to Trees for Houston so they can plant it in an underserved area in honor of the couple. We also continually support BEAR...Be A Resource for CPS Kids, a charity near and dear to our hearts.
What are you most excited about for summer? We’re really excited about in-person events and can’t wait to host everyone in our new store. A fun calendar is in the works for this year. The month of July is Bridal Month, with a special event on July 9 and 10. We’re also looking forward to attending JCK and Luxury and Couture jewelry trade shows, in addition to connecting with designers and brands we work with as well as develop new partnerships.
