World AIDS Day is observed on December 1st each year all over the world as a reminder that more must be done to combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic. 2011 marks the 30th anniversary since the first published reports of this virus.
This year's luncheon presented by Chevron is chaired by fashion designer Cesar Galindo and architects Fred Smith and Ken Newberry. Mayor Annise Parker will be honored and presented with the Shelby Hodge Vision Award for her long-standing support and compassion for Houstonians affected by or living with HIV/AIDS.
Fashion will take center stage as Cesar Galindo shows his signature line with many of the itmes up for auction, including a number of one of a kind custom Levi's Trucker Jackets designed by various celebrities and titans of fashion. The finale includes the return of Momentum MINI, who will once again raffle an all-new 2011 MINI Cooper.
Please come and support this wonderful cause on December 1, 2011 and 11 AM for the reception and 12 PM for the luncheon. It will take place at the Hilton-Americas Houston in the Grand Ballroom.
