Armandos
The in crowd calls this Mexican restaurant home, usually donning hip threads to match the tacos al carbon, empanadas, enchiladas and top-shelf ’ritas. While social distancing, pick up your usual order curbside, with an accompanying boozy concoction.

Arnaldo Richards’ Picos
Executive chef Richards blends contemporary culinary concepts with traditional, authentic Mexican cooking at his Upper Kirby locale. Toast Taco Tuesday with its top-shelf to-go menu which boasts a variety of DIY cocktail packs and the newly added 16-ounce top-shelf marg. For something more substantial, try the Tex-Mex dinner for four: a customizable package with beef picadillo or shredded chicken, choice of 10 crispy taco shells or tortillas, lettuce, tomato and cheese, plus rice, beans and salsa roja. (Pro tip: Breakfast tacos are doled out daily.)

Los Tios
This 50-year-old Houston Tex-Mex institution owned by the Adair family operates five area locations, with the San Felipe location serving as its flagship. Menu favorites include mesquite-grilled fajitas, enchiladas, puffy quesos, combo plates and, of course, beef or chicken street tacos. The flagship, Beechnut and Memorial locations are offering curbside pickup, which you can order online or by phone.
