It’s been a decade since Veronica Beard entered the fashion lexicon as a staple for the everyday woman. Founded by sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard, the brand immediately took off, thanks to its focus on versatility and creating looks for women to wear from day to night.
Now, the growing brand lands in Houston with its first-ever store in the city, a showcase of the Veronica Beard lifestyle. We chatted with the stylish Veronicas on bringing the brand to the Houston market and their style tips for the Houston woman.
Tell us about the inspiration for the latest Veronica Beard collection and what shoppers can expect to see.
Fall 2019 is "The Great Haute Doors"—luxury meets lumberjack, opulence meets outdoors. We celebrated the contrast and created a uniform of rugged plaids, jewel-tone florals, leopard puffers and velvet dresses, all in rich layers and textures with details from rhinestones to colorful bungee cording.
You are opening your first Houston store. What makes the Houston woman perfect for the Veronica Beard brand?
She’s looking for outfits that are understated yet glamourous enough to wear during the day and chic pieces to transition into night, which is what we do best!
When customers visit the new store, can they expect a curated selection of looks that you feel really resonate with the Houston consumer or will it be the full Veronica Beard experience?
We put a great deal of time into creating a curated atmosphere that local shoppers will fall in love with, while offering a selection of product that resonates with her lifestyle and gives her the full Veronica Beard brand experience, including occasion dressing, jeans, shoes and third-party product.
What are some of your standout pieces from the latest collection that you can’t wait for the Houston customer to be able to purchase?
Veronica Miele Beard: The Willamette Dress in a chic red print can transition from day to night, so can the Arielle Dress—just pair with heels and you’re ready for a night out!
Veronica Swanson Beard: I’m loving the Crispin Coat and Beverly Skinny Flare jeans paired with a simple tee and the Loretta leopard print bootie for when the weather gets a little cooler.
What are your top style tips for the chic Houston woman for Fall/Winter?
VMB: Don’t be afraid to wear a pop of color! I love the Jania leather pant in pink paired with the Brock Dickey jacket.
VSB: Invest in a jumpsuit. I cannot wait to wear the Artemis leather jumpsuit from Fall—one and done and super chic! Veronica Beard, 4444 Westheimer Road, 281-962-4062, veronicabeard.com
