The newly unveiled Trellis Spa, located in the historic Houstonian Hotel, is the ideal spot for a much-deserved wellness day. Spend a day of full relaxation and enjoy a sweet escape at its new lavish installations, where you can find hot pools, meditation rooms, private cabanas and more. Choose from a wide variety of more traditional services and rejuvenate through its massages, facials and even hair and professional makeup services.
While maintaining a traditional style, the renovations focused on bringing more natural light into the space, so you’ll be guaranteed to get your daily dose of vitamin D while being pampered. Since dining in at the spa has been extremely popular among guests ever since it was founded, Trellis has expanded its second-level terrace into a beautiful world-class dining room—you truly get the whole experience.

“We’re most excited about the addition of an outdoor water circuit, which offers a contrast bathing experience. The circuit begins with optional dry brush (included with the purchase of a spa day pass and available for purchase in the spa’s retail boutique), cleanse in one of the spas showers, 10- to 15-minute soak in one or both of the two outdoor soaking pools, and 30-second to one-minute cold shower, at a brisk 50 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit,” says general manager Renae Cassam.
One of the biggest perks of this unique service is that guests are encouraged to repeat the circuit as many times as they please throughout the day at the spa, where you can lounge or retreat to private cabanas. Plus, Cassam highlights how the circuit offers numerous health benefits, including stress relief, increased circulation, cardiovascular strength and can even serve as an immune booster.
