Make your way to Avenida Plaza tonight to cheer on the Houston Cougars men’s basketball team in their matchup with Purdue! The festivities begin at 7:30 p.m., with performances by the Spirit of Houston band, cheerleaders and mascots. The weekend festival will be held from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in Sam Houston Park and along Allen Parkway. With tasty cuisine from food trucks, refreshing drinks, live entertainment and featured watercolor painter Gwendolyn Redfern bringing her talent to town, expect nothing less than pure excitement.
