Texas Faces of Design: Kathe Baker

Kathe Baker is an award-winning Houston-based interior decorator devoted to creating environments of beauty, warmth and hospitality.

As a native Houstonian, Kathe has curated a style over the course of her career that is rooted in tradition but takes a modern approach to space. Her experience with remodels and custom builds gives her a unique ability to see beyond just decor and to consider the entire home in every detail.

Building on this experience, she expanded her brand in 2020 with Refine, a pre-sale staging and remodeling service that helps sellers bring out the hidden potential in their homes and maximize their return. Kathe seeks to delight and surprise her clients with spaces they will love to live in. In her words, “Being in a home for a meal and sharing life with friends is my greatest pleasure. I love to entertain and allow my home to be an extension of myself and I strive to accomplish this for every client.
