Foscari Interiors opened its doors in 2007, being the first Show Room in Houston carrying European/Modern cabinetry systems for kitchens, bathrooms, and closets.
It was an extremely specific niche. Very few architects and designers were familiar with custom factory-made cabinets, but for Foscari’s founder Monica Wehbi, who had practiced architecture in Argentina for almost fifteen years, modern design was the only language she spoke.
Joaquín, the oldest of Monica’s three sons, started working at Foscari in 2012. Like his brothers, he had grown up at job sites, surrounded by plans and design magazines.
Working together mom and son, was a learning process for both. While Monica shared her knowledge and experience, Joaquin introduced the ambition for perfection, and a powerful “young” vision. He has recently become Foscari’s new CEO, leading a unique team of five designers, that includes his mom.
Having started a small business with no more ambition than serving clients with a differentiated taste, Monica has seen Foscari grow to have ten projects selected for the popular AIA Home Tours and become one of Houston’s favorite cabinetry firms.
