Fashion plate and Houston native Lucie Harte has finally launched Soft Animal (softanimal.com). The swoonworthy style platform showcases a unique collection of luxurious womenswear tailored to the most fashionable of femmes.

We are thrilled about the launch of Soft Animal! What might our readers be able to expect? I am thrilled to be launching in Houston with such a wonderful group of supportive people by my side. We don’t actually have a ‘space’ yet, technically, but maybe some day? For now, I am working out of my living room, but you can find Soft Animal at The Avenue and Ellzey in town.
Favorite part so far? The fitting sessions that we have with our patternmaker are my absolute favorite part of the process. Seeing a piece go from concept to reality is exhilarating, especially after so many talented people have collaborated to bring it to life.
Best way to describe your approach to fashion? Wear what makes you feel like your most authentic self. I like classic, elegant silhouettes with a little rawness to them.
Three words to describe you best?
Transparent (I wear my heart on my sleeve), direct (in every way), and my mother says I’m irreverent.
Secret talent? It’s a secret...
What’s in your bag right now... 1... 2... 3.... go! Dr. Lara Devgan’s lip gloss, Cobalt hand sanitizer, Celine wallet that my boyfriend gave me for Christmas last year, a tiny measuring tape that always comes in handy, and two notebooks—one for meeting notes and to-do lists, the other for sketching.
