She started small, carefully curating a team of trained hairstylists for multi-city pop-ups around the nation, and eventually set up permanent locations in the Lone Star State. “I founded Pressed Roots so everyone, regardless of their hair texture, could access luxurious haircare,” says Gaines. With locations in Dallas, Arlington and Plano, a Houston expansion was a natural decision for the brand—and a relief for many of its already-established customers. “I am so excited to be able to continue providing this throughout my home state of Texas! Once it's appointment time, you’ll be greeted with a drink and within 5 minutes, you’re in the chair for your initial consultation, deep-cleaning shampoo and silky blowout.
