National Tequila Day is Sunday, July 24 and we’ve rounded up some fabulous specials and hot spots for refreshing specialty tequila cocktails at some of Houston’s top restaurants and bars. Whether tequila is your drink of choice, or it transports you back to an infamously raucous night out, these cocktails are tasty enough to celebrate!

Head to Picos on Saturday, July 23 for a Cuervo & Sauza Hornitos tequila tasting from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., but the National Tequila Day specials don’t stop there. All weekend long, there will be a special menu that features tequila garlic shrimp, made with 1800 Cristalino Tequila, and tequila lime chicken tacos, made with Cuervo Tradicional Reposado Tequila, among other tasty tequila-centric dishes. Gather your crew and head to The Woodlands Resort for a one-of-a-kind mobile margarita cart. The cart serves two to three people and comes with various accouterments to make each margarita memorable, like Cajun spices, jalapeño, mint, cinnamon, pineapple, basil, rosemary, cucumber, mango puree, and prickly pear puree. The cart is priced at $45.
