“Success for me is measured by the people I choose to have in my life. They lift me up, and I strive to do the same for them.”
Kathy Anderson, owner and principal designer of Eklektik Interiors, defines success by her relationships. “I am all about relationships,” says Anderson, both in her personal life and in her career. “Success for me is measured by the people I choose to have in my life. They lift me up, and I strive to do the same for them.”
With a genuine love of people and a passion for purposeful design, Anderson pours her soul into her work. “I love envisioning ways to make someone’s life better, and then doing everything possible to fulfill that,” she said. Anderson’s ability to read her clients is a strength that helps her to create a signature environment for each space she designs.
Anderson grew up on a farm in Southeast Texas, which instilled in her an unparalleled work ethic and the values of pragmatism and honesty. She milked cows twice a day, hauled hay, and raised 25,000 chickens. “No one can outwork me,” she says with a smile.
With more than 30 years of experience designing homes, Anderson has perfected the art of listening. “It’s not about me,” she said. “I love the experience of collaborating with clients, who quickly become friends, and creating spaces that enrich their lives.”
