For Dr. Julie Longoria, pediatric dentistry has proven to be a natural fit, satisfying her innate sense of artistry, her passion for helping others and her concern for children. As a co-owner of Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, Dr. Longoria works alongside a team of experts to provide exceptional dental care in a fun and loving environment for patients, from birth to 18 years of age, in West University and Memorial.
A genuine people person, Dr. Longoria enjoys learning all about the families who step foot in her office, but recognizing that it’s impossible to please everyone, she stands firm in her beliefs, relying on her education and expertise to do what’s best for her patients and her practice. After earning her doctorate at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Longoria completed a master’s degree at the University of Texas School of Dentistry and has since been named a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. While she strongly believes in oral health, she takes a conservative approach to treating dental decay and avoids unnecessary procedures. “If I wouldn’t recommend it for my own child,” she says, “I’m certainly not going to recommend it for yours.”
Dr. Longoria finds great reward in being a calming influence and easing children’s anxieties. “My goal is to make sure my patients grow up, knowing that taking care of their teeth is important and that going to the dentist isn’t so bad,” she says. “I’m so happy I chose a profession where I can really make a difference without sacrificing time with my family.”
