Pink paradise can now be found in River Oaks District as La Vie Style House (laviestylehouse.com) opens its doors. We caught up with Jamie Coulter and Lindsey McClain, the clever duo behind the beloved brand.
Customers can’t get enough of La Vie Style House’s signature vibe, including celebrity fans from Katy Perry to Chrissy Teigen.
We are so beyond thrilled that you are setting up shop in Houston! What can our readers expect?
JC: Pure awesomeness! Houston has a sweet lounge space—so you can try everything while relaxing like a true diva. And, of course, lots of fabulous new pieces. Lots of lace and sparkle.
Favorite part of working together?
LM: We laugh all day long, so it’s truly fun. At the end of the day, we are friends first and partners second.
Best way to describe your approach to fashion?
JC: A confident mess. I’m usually in workout clothes—but enjoy dressing up. I adore color and patterns… and live for a sequin moment!
Top three words to describe your personality?
LM: Fun, anxious and sometimes inappropriate.
JC: Funny, caring and always inappropriate.
Party trick?
JC: I can sing a lot of show tunes!
What’s in your bag right now... no cheating!
LM: We are currently traveling and settling into the Houston store right now, so there is a lot... Within a Dior tote—a smaller Chanel crossbody with a wallet, phone charger, sunglasses and Biologique lip gloss for when I don’t want to carry around this huge bag. Then a notepad (I hand write everything down), bag of medicine in case the world ends, I come down with strep, get a headache, etc. And then a change of clothes for Jamie’s and my couples massage first thing in the AM. Biking shorts, an oversized La Vie button-down and plaid Zara cardigan. I’m always overprepared for anything that could possibly happen.
JC: Tums—I always eat stuff I know I shouldn’t and pay for it. Hermès lip balm. Balenciaga pink wallet. A pair of purple Bottega shades. My daughter’s bracelet. The new iPhone I can’t work right. Keys I can never find!
