Ken Mazzu: Landmarks of Memory

| April 25, 2013 | Calendar

The Cloister Gallery will exhibit works by artist Ken Mazzu during the month of May. An opening reception will be held Friday, May 10, from 6–8 p.m.

Mazzu’s paintings investigate ideas of industrial decay and urban detritus. His recent work in oil and watercolors explores moments of time and the changing face of the Houston architectural landscape. Mazzu sees these paintings of controlled demolition as documents of his observations within the city.
Mazzu is an instructor of drawing, design and watercolor at the Glassell School of Art. He has studied at Lamar University and the University of Houston, and worked for ten years at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
