For interior design maven Katie Davis of Katie Davis Design (katiedavisdesign.com), crafting the perfect game room to accommodate a young Houston family’s needs was a challenge she was apt to complete. The front room, formerly a dumping ground for the kids’ toys, was the area of focus—to create a space that was formal enough to be seen from the front door, but casual enough for a family game night. After much thought, Davis put her design skills to the test, crafting a salon that doubled as a game room.

In order to match the luxury and sophistication of the rest of the home, the designer layered a fresh mix of patterned textiles and dreamy blue hues. Some quintessential design elements include built-in bookshelves, a custom velvet sectional, a game table and upholstered ottoman for additional seating. Comfy but tailored silhouettes make this the ultimate hangout heaven for all members of the family.
