Esteemed designer James De Wulf takes a seat at the table in Houston, launching his latest collaboration with The WM.
“We met Selena when she visited our booth at the Salon Art + Design show at the Armory in NYC in November 2023,” shares James De Wulf, who recently celebrated the grand reveal of an exclusive collaboration with Selena Mackay, principal owner of The WM. Marking the first in Texas to showcase his latest piece, the Exo Lotus dining table now sits pretty in the beloved Houston showroom. “We all vibed immediately and felt like old friends. It was probably the fastest agreement to collaborate that I’ve ever experienced.” As part of Wulf’s Exo Series, the exquisite piece is a unique blend of bronze and concrete featuring the artist’s signature patented process. “As I get older, I’m more focused on working with friendly people,” notes Wulf. “We felt good about them, so we decided to work with them. My goal these days is to have more fun in my art.”
Based in Los Angeles and Hawaii, James De Wulf creates avant-garde concrete couture.
