Tell us more about GOLDEN and the main intention behind its inception. LC/EJ: Creating a favorite shopping destination, a feel-good space—you know you will find something special here that is not oversaturated in the market. A place to be educated about what is current or fashion forward and a spot you can frequently find our favorite stylist Paulina. You will probably pass a friend coming or going and know the pieces you buy at GOLDEN will certainly get you compliments!
What do you have in store for our readers upon first glance? LC/EJ: Expect to see our friendly faces and get our styling tips while you shop our curated collection. Expect to see brands you know, as well as new labels we are bringing in.
The best way to describe your approach toward fashion? LC: Mixing new with old, playing with color, wearing denim, taking some fashion-forward risks and always in heels!
Do you have a mentor or someone who helped you as you were first getting started? EJ: My old boss, Penne Weidig, the designer buyer at Tootsies. She taught me so much and molded me into the buyer I am today.
What does the future hold for GOLDEN? LC/EJ: The goal is to make GOLDEN the best it can possibly be for our clients (and keep searching for ways to make it better). The long-term motivation is to grow a business that can be passed down to our daughters some day.
