Houston Symphony Star Spangled Salute
Cue the sparklers! The Houston Symphony is hosting a free concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre to celebrate Independence Day. The Symphony has selected patriotic favorites to perform, and the night will finish with a spectacular fireworks show. Miller Outdoor Theatre, houstonsymphony.com

Shell Freedom Over Texas Festival
The signature Fourth of July celebration is back in Houston this summer with a full lineup of fun—think food, festivities, fireworks and a special headline performance from Russell Dickerson. In true Texas fashion, the night will close with the crowd’s favorite musically-choreographed “Texas-Sized” fireworks show. “In the jungle, the mighty jungle…” That’s right folks; Disney’s beloved classic, The Lion King, returns to the Hobby Center this summer. As the winner of six Tony Awards (including Best Musical, we might add), the show is nothing short of spectacular with amazing backdrops, killer choreography and songs that will have you humming along for days. The boys are back in town! New Kids on the Block’s Magic Summer Tour is making its rounds in the Lone Star State, with one special performance for H-Town at the Woodlands Mitchell Pavilion. While we will definitely be jamming to their newest album, Still Kids, we can already hear the ear-deafening screams for oldies like “Step by Step,” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)” and more.
