Whether you're in Houston or not, you can still get your hand on a Three Brothers Bakery Pie. The shop is famous for its Eastern European baked goods nationwide—and yes, it was started by three brothers. In 1949, after arriving in America from Poland, brothers Sigmund, Sol and Max Jucker opened Three Brothers Bakery and dedicated their lives to pies and other sweet treats. The company has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Food Network and Good Morning America. Three Brothers is most famous for its array of pecan pies, including chocolate bourbon, chocolate fudge and salted caramel pecan pies. If you're looking to surprise your guests, try the pumpecapple piecake; three layers of cake with a pie inside, cream cheese icing and caramel drizzle with pecans!

Flying Saucer Pie Company is a seasoned professional in the art of pie-making. Founded in 1967, the company specializes in from-scratch pies that contain no preservatives. Upon arrival at the pie palace, you'll see an outer space-themed mural with aliens and flying saucers on the side of the building—true to the namesake! This spot serves up delicious fruit and cream pies with its signature flaky crust. Top menu items include the pineapple pie filled with pineapple chunks and mixed with pineapple filling; and the Dutch apple pie topped with crumbly cinnamon sugar and filled with extra sweet firm apples. During the holidays, you might find mince pie; an old-fashioned double-crust pie filled with tender fruits, nuts and spices. Stop by the shop soon to pick up or place a pie order, but be prepared to wait in a long line!

Pies with a purpose. Victory Pie Co. & Cafe takes inspiration from the victory gardens that sprang up in World War II where Americans gathered to grow food for those overseas at war. Owner Sheila Blue started the business six years after her brother died serving in the military. More than just a “pretty pie,” the shop donates a portion of proceeds to a Veteran based charity. Varieties includes banana cream, blackberry cobbler, chocolate cream, salted caramel apple and more. Christmas pies are served in a nine-inch, extra-deep dish pie that serves ix to eight people.

Home of the “world famous” sweet potato pie, Not Jus’ Donuts—otherwise known as Ms. Myrtle’s Bakery—houses a long line of great bakers with recipes that have been passed down for decades. Famous baker Buddy Valastro from the hit show Cake Boss has called this sweet potato pie "the best ever!" Along with pies, the bakery serves gourmet cookies, cake pops, cupcakes and cheesecake. Since we are talking about pies, featured flavors include lemon chess with pecans, Oreo chocolate, and most famously the “Not Jus’ Buddy’s Pecan Torte" that boasts seven layers of pecan topped with caramel bourbon glaze.
