Thursday, 6:30-10:00pm: Tiger Ball. This eventful weekend at the Asia Society Texas Center's new 40,000-square-foot- home begins Thursday evening for Tiger Ball 2012, Asia Society Texas Center's annual gala. Attendees will sip champagne and sample Asian hors d'oeuvres in the elegant surroundings of the Texas Center, designed by the distinguished Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi, before moving across the street for dinner in a block-size party pavillion.
Friday, 7:00-11:00pm: Spotlight Asia: Cocktails and Cultural Fusions. Chairs: Divya and Chris Brown. Tasty treats and urban beats set the tone for this glitzy revel. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer come with every ticket, plus you'll have the chance to explore the new Texas Center.
Saturday, 11:00am-6pm & Sunday, 12:00-6pm: Open House & First Look Festival. Asia Society Texas Center opens its doors to the public with a lively weekend overflowing with performances, art-making workshops, storytelling, demonstrations and art exhibitions. The Official Dedication will take place on April 14, from 11am-12pm, then the festival is on April 14 and 15 from 12pm-6pm. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
