Lawndale unveils five buzzy new exhibitions this month.

'Present Tense': Eight artists explore narratives, with topics like past relationships and consumerism.

'Doing It Like Dolly Does...How Does Dolly Do It': Separatley, artists Carrie Cook and Abi Semtner used Parton's songs as a soundtrack while coping with personal loss and creating art.

'Neutral Ground': Working in drawing, prints, animation and video, Dan Rule explores the multiple meanings of the phrase "neutral ground".

'Rivers of Our Vision': Austin-based Xochi Solis creates large-scale site-specific paintings from vinyl, plastic, paint and colored paper.

'Human Hamster Wheel': James Ciosek's installation is a commentary on the constraints of urban living and the habitual nature of our daily lives.
