Talk to us about ARMAZEM.design. What is it that you and your team do best?
After a decade of successfully opening high-end showrooms in Chicago, New York and Miami as an industry executive, I felt inspired to bring back a lifestyle feel to the business, which has been lost with the expansion of corporate showrooms and large multi-brand furniture stores. The concept was further expanded to bridge product design and interior architecture, building upon the team’s expertise in both disciplines. Our strength is in uniting creative elegance and technical discipline— often two opposing qualities, and applying our wide range of knowledge to create custom solutions for projects of any size and scope.
What is something clients can always expect when working with ARMAZEM.design?
We see ourselves as a product design boutique. Clients can always expect our team to combine our design expertise with the know-how of our manufacturers to provide comprehensive and tailored solutions for their homes. Our team is also guided by the understanding that luxury is as much about the experience as the product itself; thus, we strive to collaborate positively with our clients and trade partners.

How would you describe the brand’s overall aesthetic?
While our main manufacturing partners are based in Italy, our showrooms propose contemporary Italian design tailored for the U.S. market, which appreciates the warmth of wood and timeless earthy tones, combined with the highest manufacturing standards.
What first sparked the idea to expand to Houston?
Armazem’s concept is well received in culturally rich cities, where an appreciation for modern architecture is manifested, among other things. Then comes the local team. Houston is a hub for energetic and talented people! We hired our team before we committed to opening a showroom here so they could be fully invested in this new venture.
What are you most looking forward to with the showroom launch?
We built a showroom like no other in Houston. We chose a historical building in Montrose, and our design process was guided by preserving its unique character. I’m looking forward to inviting Houstonians to experience a piece of their architectural heritage restored and carefully “dressed” in our amazing products.
What can guests expect from the showroom?
Innovative architectural products and tailored cabinetry are front and center, complemented with curated furniture and decorative lighting pieces from internationally renowned designers.
Are there any brands in particular you are most excited about carrying?
We are excited to introduce three leading Italian brands in Houston. Arclinea is one of the most respected kitchen manufacturers in the world, and they are turning 100 years in 2025! Lema is a benchmark in bespoke closets and wall units, and they also manufacture impeccable furniture and sofas. And Barausse is a highly technical manufacturer of specialty doors, partitions and wall paneling.
