For its sixth year running, The Truffle Masters, hosted by Houston-based luxury food importer and distributor, DR Delicacy and its founder Diane Roederer, is the highly anticipated culinary event celebrating first-rate truffles, showcased by the top talent in Houston’s restaurant community. Over 500 Houston foodies gathered at the C. Baldwin Hotel to taste truffles from 26 award-winning chefs and restaurants. The VIP experience gave access to the parton lounge furnished by BeDesign with a champagne bar, caviar, and chocolate truffles. Chef Louis Roger and his team from MAD & BCN Taste & Tradition was awarded the number one judges’ choice award for their wild mushroom and truffle cream bite and the “ruffs voladores” (flying truffles). Chef Bobby Matos and his team from La Lucha took home the people’s choice award for their sweet corn pansoti. The Truffle Masters benefits Second Servings, Houston’s only prepared and perishable food rescue organization.
