RYDE
(River Oaks Shopping Center; 802 Rusk St., Ste. 136)
Riding a bike that goes nowhere while listening to club music in a dark room illuminated with neon and black lights? Count us in. When it opened, cult-followed homegrown spin studio Ryde was the only boutique spin studio in town. Now, though a more crowded market, Ryde’s loyal client list is more energized than ever, with the brand’s second location opening Downtown (designed by buzzy Rottet Studio), and a freshened up original River Oaks outpost. Moreover, Ryde gets involved in local philanthropies, food drives, charity rides and even hosts its own black-tie gala to support the fight against human trafficking.
Insider tip Co-owner Ashley Gooch has taught the 9:30AM Saturday class since Ryde opened its doors, and there’s a waitlist for the class within five minutes of the schedule going live on Sundays. Book fast!
