Morgan Weber dishes on his favorite spots around the Bayou City.

Morgan Weber has had quite a year. The Agricole Hospitality (Coltivare, Revival Market) co-owner opened three new concepts in EaDo at the end of 2018. As beverage director, he not only sources unique spirits but devises cocktail menus for each spot. Weber himself had a hand in the distinct look of each space, single-handedly scouting vintage furniture for Miss Carousel, for instance. “I’ve always liked aesthetic details, whether in clothing or interiors and architecture,” says the ruggedly handsome 30-something. Now with seven restaurants under his belt, and a 5-month-old—whew!—Weber says: “Things are finally settling down.” Here, he shares his must-haves around town.

“For years I’ve liked the quality and interesting scents that Le Labo comes up with. Their beard oil is fantastic.”

Mane Man
“John Velasco at Bison Barbers (832.378.1689) has been my barber since 2014. Carve out an hour. The dude executes the most detailed fades in the city.”

Date Night
“Julia and I wind up at Houston’s (713.529.2385) more regularly than we probably care to admit. It’s always on point, consistent and service is off the charts. Negroni, pineapple ribeye, Key lime pie.”

Happy Hour
Miss Carousel (832.582.7330) is the perfect spot to hang with your date and relax in a superchill environment.”

On Watch
“The Omega Speedmaster is about as classic as it gets. It’s my everyday wear.”

Shoe In
“These benchmade double monks at Sid Mashburn go with pretty much everything you could wear—casual with jeans, smart with a suit and about as classic as one can get. Leave the socks in a drawer.”
