Four Seasons Houston The new lobby bar and lounge at this icon serves great food—think bone marrow with oxtail toast and day boat scallops in brown butter—as well as 70 varieties of bourbon.

Hotel Alessandra Valencia Group—which owns Hotel Sorella in CityCentre—bows a new 223-room hotel in Downtown this year. It’ll be the largest newcomer to the city’s core and will include a five-star restaurant, Bardot.
